Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Workday Integrations Developer for an initial three-month consulting engagement, with the potential to extend to six months.

This consultant will assess an existing integration environment, document its current architecture and data flows, and deliver several time-sensitive integration and data-migration projects. The successful candidate must be able to work independently, quickly understand an environment with limited documentation, and begin contributing with minimal ramp-up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain Workday integrations.
  • Assess an established integration environment with limited existing documentation.
  • Document systems, technologies, interfaces, integrations, dependencies, and data flows.
  • Support data migration from legacy platforms into the current environment.
  • Build and enhance integrations between Workday and third-party business systems.
  • Troubleshoot integration failures, data issues, and system dependencies.
  • Partner with technical administrators, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
  • Produce clear technical documentation to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge transfer.
  • Independently manage deliverables and meet aggressive project timelines.

Approximately 30–40% of the engagement will focus on documenting the current Workday integration environment. The remaining time will be dedicated to integration development, data migration, and other high-priority technical projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on Workday integrations development experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess and understand complex, undocumented integration environments.
  • Experience mapping systems, technologies, integrations, dependencies, and data flows.
  • Experience integrating Workday with applicant tracking systems or other HR platforms.
  • Hands-on data migration experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent technical documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver results with minimal ramp-up or supervision.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ATS-to-Workday integrations.
  • Experience supporting large-scale HR technology or enterprise application environments.
  • Previous success completing short-term, deadline-driven integration projects.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal consultant is highly self-directed, technically strong, and comfortable bringing structure to an environment with incomplete documentation. This person should be able to rapidly assess the current state, identify dependencies and risks, and deliver reliable integrations under tight timelines.
