About the Role

Our client is seeking a Technical Product Manager to lead product requirements for integrations, data imports, and claims automation. This person will work closely with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges and translate them into detailed technical requirements that developers can build from.

This is not a coding role, but it requires strong technical fluency. The ideal candidate can document data flows, identify friction points, define business rules, and work directly with developers to establish scope and realistic delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with business stakeholders to understand workflows, problems, requirements, and priorities.
  • Translate business needs into clear, detailed technical requirements for software and integration developers.
  • Document current-state and future-state data flows, including sources, destinations, mappings, transformations, dependencies, exceptions, and failure points.
  • Write product requirements documents (PRDs), epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting process documentation.
  • Lead requirements for integrations, inbound data imports, payroll exports, census files, HRIS connections, and related data workflows.
  • Define requirements for claims automation, including workflows that compare OCR-captured information with database records to help determine claim eligibility.
  • Identify friction, manual work, data-quality issues, and opportunities to improve or automate existing processes.
  • Partner closely with Boomi and other software developers to turn business requirements and documented data flows into reliable solutions.
  • Work with developers to understand complexity, dependencies, and technical tradeoffs and determine whether work will require two sprints, four sprints, or a larger phased approach.
  • Support backlog prioritization, sprint planning, testing, release readiness, and communication with business and technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Product Management, Technical Product Management, Product Ownership, or a similar software-focused role.
  • Strong ability to gather information from business teams and translate it into detailed, developer-ready requirements.
  • Experience writing PRDs, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, or data-flow documentation.
  • Experience working on integrations, data-import processes, automation, APIs, middleware, or other data-intensive software initiatives.
  • Ability to understand and discuss data movement, field mappings, validation rules, exceptions, dependencies, and system constraints with engineers.
  • Working knowledge of Agile delivery, backlog management, sprint planning, estimation, testing, and release processes.
  • Strong communication, organization, prioritization, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in benefits administration, healthcare, HR technology, payroll, insurance, or another data-intensive industry.
  • Familiarity with payroll exports, census files, HRIS integrations, eligibility data, enrollment data, or claims workflows.
  • Experience working with Boomi or another enterprise integration platform.
  • Knowledge of EDI is helpful but not required.
  • Experience working with distributed or offshore development teams.
