About the Opportunity
Our client is looking for a Systems Administrator who wants more than just another IT support role. This is an opportunity to own a small, highly collaborative IT environment while partnering closely with analysts and business stakeholders. You'll maintain and improve the firm's infrastructure, support automation initiatives, and help shape how AI is leveraged across the business.
What You'll Do
As the Systems Administrator, you'll serve as the primary IT resource for the firm, supporting approximately 15–20 employee devices while partnering with leadership and analysts to ensure technology enables the business.
Core Responsibilities
- Administer and support Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Azure, and AWS environments
- Manage user onboarding/offboarding, licensing, permissions, and identity management
- Maintain Microsoft Intune and endpoint management policies
- Coordinate with managed cybersecurity vendors to ensure a secure environment
- Manage hardware procurement, asset lifecycle, software licensing, and vendor relationships
- Perform backup, disaster recovery, and infrastructure maintenance activities
- Provide day-to-day technical support for employees across the organization
- Work closely with analysts to understand business needs and identify technology improvements
- Support and enhance client-facing reporting and automation solutions by maintaining existing Power BI dashboards, Python-based automations, and responding to business and client-driven enhancement requests.
- Lead IT projects and continuously improve internal systems and processes
- Evaluate new technologies, tools, and automation opportunities that improve efficiency
- Help shape future AI initiatives as the firm's technology capabilities continue to evolve
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of Systems Administration experience
- Strong experience administering Microsoft 365 and Windows Server environments
- Experience supporting Azure and/or AWS cloud infrastructure
- Microsoft Intune endpoint management experience
- Experience with user lifecycle management
- Experience managing hardware, software, vendors, and IT assets
- Backup and disaster recovery experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Python for scripting or automation
- Basic understanding of Power BI
- PowerShell experience
- SonicWall firewall/VPN
- AWS VPC networking
- Exposure to AI and workflow automation
