Staff Software Engineer
We're looking for a software engineer with 4–7 years of experience leading projects across large codebases at fast-growing startups. You should be comfortable operating as a generalist across multiple areas of engineering, from distributed systems and API design to DevOps and infrastructure. The ideal candidate has a strong track record of shipping high-quality software quickly and thrives in fast-paced environments.
Bonus points for experience self-deploying Kubernetes clusters, building microservices, or contributing to large open source projects.
What You'll Do
- Lead engineering projects end-to-end, including defining requirements, prioritizing work, and communicating progress with stakeholders
- Take ownership of critical platform components that automate complex operational workflows
- Partner closely with company leadership to shape technical direction and execute quickly across the platform
- Design, implement, and document APIs that support enterprise integrations
- Build and maintain distributed systems with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance
- Leverage AI coding tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and Claude to improve development velocity and engineering quality
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps infrastructure to support rapid, reliable deployments
