Sr. Frontend Engineer
About the Role
We're building an AI-powered software development platform and are looking for a growth-focused frontend engineer who lives at the intersection of product craftsmanship and growth. You'll ship polished TypeScript UIs while treating analytics and experimentation as core parts of the development process.
You'll work across multiple frontend applications, owning the entire lifecycle: designing interfaces, shipping features, instrumenting analytics, learning from user behavior, and iterating quickly.
Our technology stack includes Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, tRPC, and modern product analytics and experimentation tools.
What You'll Work On
You'll own frontend and growth initiatives across several product surfaces, including:
- Marketing website: landing pages, messaging experiments, SEO, performance optimization, and conversion improvements.
- Web application: authenticated product experiences, dashboards, account management, billing flows, documentation, and core product UI.
- AI-powered application interfaces.
- Client integrations and editor experiences.
Priorities will evolve as the company grows, so you should be comfortable owning a product area end-to-end one quarter and running rapid experimentation cycles the next.
Across all initiatives you'll focus on:
- Analytics instrumentation
- A/B testing and experimentation
- UX optimization
- Conversion improvements
- Web performance
- SEO
What We're Looking For
Core Frontend Experience
- Strong TypeScript and modern React expertise.
- Production experience with Next.js (App Router), including SSR, SSG, and ISR.
- Advanced CSS/Tailwind skills with an eye for responsive, accessible UI.
- Experience building reusable component systems (Radix, shadcn/ui, or similar).
- Motion and interaction design experience (Framer Motion, GSAP, CSS transitions).
- Strong understanding of Core Web Vitals, bundle optimization, lazy loading, and image optimization.
- Experience with typed data fetching and state management (tRPC, React Query, GraphQL, REST, or similar).
- Testing experience with Playwright, Vitest, or comparable frameworks.
Growth & Analytics
- Hands-on experience implementing product analytics and event taxonomies.
- Experience building funnels, dashboards, and user analytics.
- Proven experience designing and evaluating A/B tests.
- Strong understanding of experimentation, statistical significance, and data-driven decision making.
- A product mindset focused on activation, retention, conversion, and user experience—not just UI implementation.
Nice to Have
- SEO and marketing website optimization.
- Experience building editor or IDE-style interfaces.
- Familiarity with AI or agent-based product experiences, including chat interfaces and streaming responses.
- Experience with Figma and collaborative product design.
- Strong accessibility (WCAG) knowledge.
- Internationalization (i18n) experience.
- Billing and pricing workflow experience (e.g., Stripe integrations).
What Makes You a Great Fit
You care equally about user experience and measurable business outcomes. You build polished interfaces, validate them with data, and continuously improve them through experimentation. You're curious about user behavior, comfortable making data-informed decisions, and pay attention to the details that create exceptional product experiences.
You thrive in fast-moving environments and are comfortable working across multiple codebases without needing every requirement fully defined.
How We Work
- Fully remote
- TypeScript-first engineering
- Collaborative code reviews
- Product decisions driven by measurement, experimentation, iteration, and continuous improvement
