Software Engineer, Product

We’re looking for a Software Engineer, Product with 3-8 years of experience shipping production software and owning product features end-to-end in fast-moving startup environments (ideally Seed through Series C).

You should be comfortable working across the full stack, collaborating directly with users, and translating feedback into thoughtful engineering decisions. The ideal candidate enjoys balancing speed, product intuition, and technical quality while building AI-powered user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Ship product features end-to-end — from identifying user problems through frontend and backend implementation to production deployment
• Own user-facing experiences with a high bar for quality, polish, and usability
• Translate user feedback and business goals into clear, prioritized technical specs
• Partner closely with AI engineers to scope, ship, and iterate on AI-powered features using both off-the-shelf and proprietary models
• Run lightweight experiments by defining learning goals, measuring outcomes, and deciding what should be iterated on or removed
• Speak with users regularly and incorporate insights directly into product decisions
• Contribute across functions, helping bridge engineering, product, design, AI, and customer feedback workflows
• Operate effectively in a fast-paced startup environment with a high degree of ownership and autonomy

Qualifications

• 3-8 years of experience building and shipping production software
• Experience owning product features from concept through deployment
• Strong full-stack engineering skills with modern web technologies
• Comfortable working directly with customers and translating feedback into product improvements
• Startup experience preferred, particularly in Seed to Series C environments
• Bonus points for experience at AI-first or LLM-powered companies
• Strong quantitative, analytical, or problem-solving background is a plus

Tech Stack

TypeScript, React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Prisma, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, Datadog, and modern frontend/backend tooling.

Compensation & Logistics

• Salary: $180,000 - $250,000 base
• Competitive equity package
• Full-time role
• In-person 5 days/week in San Francisco
