Full Time
$160,000 - $210,000 Annually
This role combines full-stack development, AI-driven engineering, and hands-on collaboration with manufacturing teams. You will take problems from discovery through implementation, see how your software performs in the plant, and use that feedback to improve both the deployment and the underlying product. You will work closely with an R&D group to deploy new-to-world technology to the shop floor.

We are looking for engineers who already use AI as a core part of how they build, who have prior experience with manufacturing workflows, and who have a strong desire to ship transformative software with speed.

What You Will Do
•    Work alongside R&D, manufacturing, and product to understand workflows, identify friction, and define practical software requirements that meet manufacturing and business constraints.
•    Build full-stack applications spanning user interfaces, backend services, APIs, and data integrations.
•    Connect software to manufacturing systems and operational data, including MES, robotics, or equipment-related workflows as the deployment requires.
•    Use AI coding tools to accelerate development, debugging, testing, and documentation while remaining accountable for correctness and maintainability.
•    Take solutions from an initial prototype into production, including testing, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and ongoing improvement.
•    Apply appropriate access controls, data protection, and validation when software interacts with production workflows.
•    Explain technical decisions clearly, support user adoption, and measure whether the software improves the workflow it was built to address.
•    Collaborate daily with R&D, manufacturing, and product colleagues to scope solution and keep the entire suite of software products aligned.
•    Be flexible and adaptable to changing product and engineering requirements. We are building the plane while flying it.
What You Bring
•    Experience delivering production software across the frontend and backend, with ownership beyond a narrowly defined component.
•    Demonstrated use of AI development tools in real engineering work, including the ability to review, test, debug, and improve their output.
•    Relevant experience in at least one of manufacturing software, CAD/CAM software, robotics, industrial automation, or manufacturing execution systems (MES).
•    Strong programming fundamentals and experience with APIs, databases, systems integration, testing, and production troubleshooting.
•    The ability to work directly with technical and nontechnical users, understand an unfamiliar process, and translate it into software.
•    Comfort making progress with incomplete requirements, prioritizing practical outcomes, and working independently in a small team.
•    A bachelor’s degree in software, mechanical, electrical, or other engineering field. Masters is a plus.
•    5+ years of direct experience building software solutions for the manufacturing industry or a closely related space.
