About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to help build and scale the Software Developer Platform powering hundreds of engineering applications across one of the largest enterprise environments in the country.
This isn't a traditional infrastructure role. You'll spend your time writing Go, building Kubernetes operators, automating platform capabilities, and creating systems that enable developers & applications to deploy faster, more reliable, and more scalable. If you enjoy solving difficult platform engineering problems and building the tooling other engineers rely on every day, you'll love this team.
The engineering organization is investing heavily in platform automation, AI-assisted development, and modern cloud infrastructure. You'll join a small, highly collaborative engineering team where your work has immediate impact.
What You'll Do

• Design and build platform services in Go
• Develop and maintain custom Kubernetes Operators using controller-runtime
• Expand the organization's Internal Developer Platform (IDP)
• Build automation that supports hundreds of engineering applications
• Create infrastructure automation using Terraform
• Improve GitOps workflows and deployment automation
• Partner closely with operations to transition manual work into automated systems
• Help shape the future platform strategy around AI-assisted engineering, documentation automation, and knowledge retrieval
• Contribute to a highly technical engineering culture focused on building scalable systems

What We're Looking For
Required

• Strong professional experience developing software in Go
• Deep Kubernetes experience
• Experience building Kubernetes Operators or Controllers
• Strong understanding of controller-runtime concepts
• Experience with Terraform
• Experience implementing GitOps workflows
• Strong systems thinking and automation mindset
• Passion for platform engineering rather than application development

Nice to Have

• Azure experience
• Experience building Internal Developer Platforms
• Experience supporting large-scale cloud infrastructure
• Exposure to AI-assisted engineering workflows (Claude, GitHub Copilot, Codex, etc.)
• Familiarity with RAG architectures or AI infrastructure
• Experience with Kubernetes SDKs (Achilles SDK experience is a bonus but not expected)
