Senior AI Architect/Engineer
Role Summary
The Senior AI Architect/Engineer will function as a subject matter expert and help guide the long-term AI strategy for the Cloud Platforms team, which operates as a Cloud Center of Excellence for a leading enterprise organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in artificial intelligence and machine learning, with direct experience using Microsoft Azure AI products (required) and Google-based AI solutions (preferred). This role will include designing, building, and deploying AI solutions to streamline current operations, strengthen cloud infrastructure, and drive measurable business value. The position requires expertise in both architecture and the ability to perform hands-on engineering work at a senior level, including the programming skills listed below. Related AI cloud certifications in Azure and GCP are required to help support a multi-cloud environment.
Key Duties
• AI Agents:
o Create advanced AI agents and chatbots that can engage with users, interpret natural language, and deliver relevant responses.
o Customize AI agents and chatbots to align with business requirements, including customer service and automated assistance.
o Implement AI agents and chatbots on multiple platforms, ensuring they are accessible and operational across various devices and environments.
o Regularly evaluate and improve the performance of AI agents and chatbots, incorporating user feedback and innovations in AI technology.
• Best Practice Solutions, Infrastructure as Code, and Templates:
o Expert-level proficiency in Terraform and developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) landing zones and Terraform modules. This includes experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation platforms such as Azure DevOps and GitHub.
o Develop best practice AI solutions and templates that can be embedded into data and development teams' workflows.
o Define standards and guidelines for AI development to ensure consistency and quality across initiatives.
• AI Solution Architecture & Development:
o Design, develop, and deploy AI models and systems using Microsoft AI products and Google-based AI solutions.
o Strong programming skills in C#, Python, or comparable languages.
o Understand the organization’s business workflows and identify areas where AI technology can improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
o Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and document business and technical requirements, ensuring clear communication between teams for effective project delivery.
o Integrate AI models into cloud-based applications and systems, ensuring seamless functionality and scalability.
• Training & Documentation:
o Partner with development and operations teams to train them to incorporate AI into their solutions and workflows.
o Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure successful adoption and utilization of AI agents in operational processes.
o Create and maintain documentation for AI models, processes, and best practices.
Required Job-Specific Skills & Education
• 7 years or more of demonstrated experience as an AI Architect/Engineer or similar role.
• Experience in creating AI agents and chatbots, including development, customization, deployment, and maintenance.
• Proven experience designing and implementing scalable AI solutions using Azure Foundry, Azure OpenAI Service, and other Azure AI services.
• The position requires expertise in both architecture and the ability to perform hands-on engineering work at a senior level, including Microsoft AI products and Google-based AI solutions.
• Experience with AI ETL processes, including data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Related AI cloud certifications in Azure and GCP are required to help support a multi-cloud environment.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Candidates must work Pacific Standard Time hours. East Coast and Central Time Zone candidates will not be considered.
