Security Engineer

We're partnering with a venture-backed AI startup seeking a Security Engineer to help build and strengthen its security infrastructure. This is a hands-on role focused on securing customer-facing applications, identifying vulnerabilities, and establishing scalable security practices as the company grows.

You'll work closely with engineering leadership and have meaningful ownership over security architecture, tooling, and processes.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement security monitoring, scanning, and threat detection systems.

• Identify, investigate, and remediate application and infrastructure vulnerabilities.

• Build reusable security tools and components for engineering teams.

• Establish security best practices across the software development lifecycle.

• Collaborate with developers to improve application security and reduce risk.

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering efficiency.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in application security, vulnerability detection, and remediation.

• Strong software engineering background with experience securing modern web applications.

• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React, SQL databases, or similar technologies.

• Understanding of cloud security, secure development practices, and security automation.

• Familiarity with AI technologies and modern development tools.

• Experience securing production, customer-facing software.

• Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
