This role supports mission-critical products at Spotnana and requires someone who can confidently test web applications, mobile applications, APIs, and backend services.

This is a fully remote role based in the United States. Candidates must be able to work regular business hours within U.S. time zones and collaborate effectively with distributed engineering, product, and QA teams.

Interview Process
The process generally includes:
- An introductory call with Talent Acquisition to discuss your background, contract interests, and fit for the role.
- A live virtual interview with engineers and hiring managers.
What You’ll Do
- Design, write, and execute thorough manual test cases for web and mobile applications, APIs, and backend services.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and end-to-end testing across product releases.
- Partner with developers, product managers, and designers to understand requirements and create complete test scenarios.
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects with clear reproduction steps, severity, and supporting evidence.
- Define and monitor QA metrics that support quality and process improvements.
- Use approved AI tools to assist with test-case drafting, test-data generation, exploratory test ideas, edge-case analysis, and defect summaries.
- Support automation efforts by reviewing automated test results, identifying coverage gaps, and partnering with SDETs.
- Communicate testing status, risks, blockers, and release readiness clearly to stakeholders.
- Estimate testing effort, identify project risks, and contribute to mitigation plans.
- Improve QA processes, checklists, test coverage, and quality standards with the engineering and QA teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in manual QA, functional testing, or software quality assurance.
- Strong knowledge of testing methods, test lifecycle practices, and QA standards.
- Hands-on REST API testing experience using Postman or a similar tool.
- Ability to create clear, structured, reusable test cases and test plans.
- Familiarity with at least one test automation framework, such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Basic SQL skills for data validation and backend verification.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Experience with Jira or comparable defect-tracking and test-management tools.
- Comfortable using AI tools, including Claude or similar tools, for QA productivity tasks such as drafting test cases, summarizing defects, generating test data, and considering edge cases.
- Good understanding of web application architecture and how frontend applications, backend services, and APIs work together.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A detail-oriented, quality-focused mindset that anticipates failure points before they reach customers.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in travel and hospitality technology.
- Familiarity with airline and hotel booking engines.
- Knowledge of GDS, NDC, booking workflows, and PNR structures.
