About this role
Our client is looking for a Product Engineer with 3–12 years of experience to own a browser interaction platform powering AI-driven web automation workflows. This is a highly product-focused engineering role for someone who ships quickly, works directly with developers, and can make prioritization decisions independently.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Own the browser interaction product end-to-end including prompt-based interaction, session chaining, persistent profiles, and scrape-to-interact workflows.
  • Engage directly with developers and customer feedback channels to identify real product needs and friction points.
  • Run fast product experiments, make prioritization decisions, and ship improvements rapidly.
  • Solve browser automation reliability challenges at scale across a wide range of websites and workflows.
  • Obsess over developer experience including API latency, response structure, error handling, and documentation quality.

Required Skillset

  • 3–12 years of experience as a Product Engineer, Founding Engineer, or early-stage startup engineer.
  • Experience shipping browser automation, AI agent tooling, or developer-facing web interaction APIs.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Playwright, Puppeteer, browser-use, Stagehand, or Chromium internals.
  • Experience owning features and product decisions without heavy PM or design oversight.
  • Strong TypeScript and Node.js proficiency.
  • Experience building persistent session/state management systems in browser automation environments.
  • Strong product instincts with the ability to balance speed, reliability, and developer experience.
  • Based in North or South America (UTC-3 to UTC-10 preferred).

Nice to Have

  • Experience working as a founding engineer or early infrastructure/browser automation engineer.
  • Familiarity with observability tooling and monitoring.
  • Cloud infrastructure fundamentals.
  • Strong understanding of AI agent workflows and developer tooling.

Traits That Typically Do Not Align

  • Engineers focused primarily on internal-only tooling.
  • Candidates requiring heavy PM direction or tightly scoped requirements.
  • Candidates from highly process-heavy environments who are not comfortable shipping quickly.
  • Candidates outside Americas-based working hours.
