Location: Hybrid (San Francisco, CA or Boston, MA)
Schedule: 3 days/week in office
Compensation: $170,000 - $225,000 + equity (if applicable)
About the Role
We're partnering with an innovative early-stage healthcare technology company that's building a modern consumer platform designed to make accessing healthcare simpler, faster, and more transparent.
As a Frontend Software Engineer, you'll help create intuitive, high-performance web experiences that customers use to search for care, schedule appointments, browse provider profiles, and complete transactions. You'll own meaningful areas of the product and have a direct impact on the user experience.
This is an opportunity to join a small, high-performing engineering team where you'll work closely with product, design, operations, and business stakeholders to ship features quickly while maintaining a high bar for quality.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain modern web applications using React, TypeScript, and Next.js
- Own key user-facing experiences from concept through production
- Collaborate closely with Product and Design to deliver polished, intuitive interfaces
- Make thoughtful frontend architecture decisions around component design, state management, data fetching, testing, and performance
- Work across the stack when needed to troubleshoot issues and deliver end-to-end features
- Contribute to product planning, technical discussions, and feature prioritization
- Help establish engineering best practices while moving quickly in a startup environment
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of frontend software engineering experience
- Strong expertise with React, TypeScript, and modern frontend development
- Experience building production-quality web applications with a focus on performance, accessibility, and user experience
- Comfortable collaborating directly with designers to create thoughtful interactions and polished UI
- Ability to make pragmatic architectural decisions while balancing speed and quality
- Experience working in fast-paced startup or high-growth environments with evolving priorities
- Strong ownership mentality with a willingness to contribute wherever needed
- Interest in learning new technologies and working across the stack
Healthcare experience is not required. Curiosity about solving complex healthcare challenges is a plus.

- U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
- Ability to work onsite three days per week in either San Francisco or Boston
