Data Analyst
About the Role
The Senior Data Operations Analyst owns the inbound data pipelines that bring partner and client files into internal record-keeping systems. You will work in SQL Server, SSIS, and supporting tools (cron-driven jobs, legacy VB scripts) to clean, validate, and load partner data so it is import-ready. This is a senior operator role requiring the ability to take SQL, SSIS, and VB work without supervision while mentoring junior data operations analysts.
What You'll Own
• Clean, validate, and transform inbound client and partner files (eligibility, claims, contributions) using SQL and SSIS.
• Build and maintain ETL packages that move data from partner formats into internal record-keeping systems.
• Operate and improve cron-scheduled batch jobs.
• Maintain legacy VB scripts and help modernize them over time.
• Own the quality and reliability of data pipelines, including monitoring, alerting, and issue resolution.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and mentor junior data operations analysts.
What You'll Bring
• 3+ years of hands-on data operations or ETL development experience.
• Strong SQL Server skills (T-SQL, stored procedures, query tuning).
• SSIS package design, deployment, and maintenance experience.
• Experience with batch scheduling tools such as Cron, SQL Server Agent, or similar.
• VB or VB.NET experience preferred.
• Experience in healthcare, fintech, insurance, or another regulated industry preferred.
• Proven ability to turn manual, ad hoc data processes into repeatable and monitored workflows.
• Comfortable working with offshore teams and cross-functional partners.
Why This Role
This role will support a large-scale data modernization effort focused on transforming long-standing file-based integrations into a more modern data platform. The position offers an opportunity to play a key role in improving and scaling data operations while helping shape future-state processes and capabilities.
