Brand Ambassador / Events Specialist

6 months (super high potential to extend every 6 months)
Pay: $40-$42/hr on a W2
Hybrid: Onsite on Weekends, Remote on Weekdays
Hours: 30-40 hours per week
Location: Orlando, Florida
Lead Commission: $100 for each connect

Position Overview 

Are you a people-person with a flair for creativity and a passion for bringing events to life? We’re looking for a Brand Ambassador / Events Specialist who thrives on making connections, building buzz, and creating memorable experiences that leave people talking. 
This role is perfect for someone who is part strategist, part entertainer, and 100% passionate about community engagement. You'll scout and secure exciting event opportunities, drive lead generation, and collaborate with local partners to deliver fun, immersive, high-energy events that amplify our brand presence.

Working Hours:
-Most events take place on weekends; There are some weekends where there are no events
-Lots of flexibility with schedules for weekdays (that’s when team works on marketing tasks)
-There are Weekly 1:1s with HM Shawn and Bi-weekly Greenfield calls and weekly Monday meetings to go over weekend events
-30-40 hours per week
-No OT

Travel Expectations:
-Will need to travel in Greater Orlando & Central Florida area to set up, execute, and take down events
-WOW! will provide vehicles for travel
-Travel time counts as time worked

Prospecting New Events 
•    Conduct research to identify and evaluate potential event opportunities aligned with our brand and goals. 
•    Develop and maintain a calendar of hyper-local community events, festivals, and grassroots activations. 
•    Initiate outreach to schools, nonprofit organizations, local businesses, and venues to explore collaboration opportunities. 

Cultivating Community Relationships 
•    Represent the brand professionally and warmly within the community, building trust and awareness. 
•    Establish and nurture long-term partnerships with event vendors, venues, chambers of commerce, schools, and community leaders. 
•    Attend networking functions, expos, and local events to foster visibility and expand our local presence. 

Vendor Setup and Coordination 
•   Research and onboard qualified vendors to support event needs. 
•    Manage vendor contracts, payment arrangements, and logistical requirements. 
•    Ensure all vendors meet brand standards and contribute positively to the event experience 

Lead Generation and Tracking 
•  Drive attendee engagement and generate qualified leads through on-site interactions and follow-up. 
•  Accurately track lead data in CRM systems. 
•   Evaluate lead quality and return on investment (ROI) from events and activations. 

Developing Creative Concepts 
•  Contribute innovative ideas for event themes, layouts, and attendee experiences. 
•  Collaborate with marketing and design teams to develop promotional materials and event collateral. 
•  Ensure that all elements of the event—from décor to programming—support the company’s mission and messaging. 

Planning and Executing Events 
• Manage all aspects of event execution, including venue selection, staffing, scheduling, vendor coordination, and budget oversight. 
•  Ensure seamless onsite logistics and maintain a high standard of professionalism and hospitality throughout the event. 
•  Resolve issues in real time, always prioritizing a positive guest experience. 

What You Bring to the Role 
•   Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to engage authentically with diverse audiences. 
•    Previous experience in event planning, brand activation, or community engagement. 
•    High level of organizational skill with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
•    Creative problem-solver with a strong eye for detail and design. 
•    Proficiency with CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint. 
•    Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel to various event locations. 
•    Preferred experience working in a field-based or sales-support capacity. 

Preferred Qualifications 
•    Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Business, or a related field (preferred, not required). 
•   Experience in telecommunications, brand marketing, or high-growth consumer industries. 
•   Bilingual or multilingual communication skills are desirable but not required
