About the role
Engineering at the company is advancing quickly.
You will own challenges end-to-end, deliver a high volume of quality code, analyze data, make product decisions, and iterate rapidly in production.
Their core stack is Node (TypeScript) on AWS and React (NextJS) on Vercel.
What you'll do
Own backend systems and infrastructure end-to-end, from architecture through deployment and scaling.
Build efficient, reliable APIs and services that support financial products.
Design and implement scalable systems on AWS using Node (TypeScript).
Make thoughtful tradeoffs between speed, reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
Ship production code consistently while maintaining high quality standards.
Help define technical patterns and best practices for the engineering team.
Collaborate effectively with product engineers and other stakeholders.

Seniority:
3+ years of experience in backend engineering at an early-stage tech startup (<200 people).
Work Experience:
Owned backend systems and architecture end-to-end at a high-growth startup (either customers, VC-backed, or strong ARR).
Designed and implemented scalable systems on AWS using Node (TypeScript).
Experience working within the fintech industry.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
Hard Skills:
Proficiency with Node.js or Python.
Experience leveraging AI development tools (e.g., Devin, Claude).
Soft Skills:
Ability to work independently and handle ambiguity.
