Azure Cloud Engineer
About the Role
We're seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer to help automate and modernize our cloud infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone with a software engineering mindset who enjoys building scalable systems, automating manual processes, and creating long-term solutions. While you'll support day-to-day infrastructure needs, success in this role comes from looking beyond individual tickets and continuously improving the platform through automation.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Build automation tools and services using Python and/or Go (Golang).
- Identify opportunities to automate infrastructure and operational processes.
- Partner with engineering teams to improve platform reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and implement sustainable, long-term solutions.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
- Proficiency in Python and/or Go (Golang).
- Demonstrated experience building infrastructure automation and internal tooling.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a software engineering approach to infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP).
- Experience with Databricks and/or Snowflake.
